A tourist's first night in UB

01Start early: many bars fill up by 22:00 on Fridays, and clubs get busy after midnight.

02Cards are widely accepted in central Ulaanbaatar, but carry some tögrög (₮) for taxis.

03Use a ride app or ask the venue to call a registered taxi. Avoid unmarked cars late at night.

04Bring your passport — many clubs check ID at the door, and the legal drinking age is 21.
